A restaurant website template with real booking flows, not just pretty photos
Overview
Ember & Oak reads like a real restaurant site: warm terracotta and cream palette, chef photography, a 'View Menu' and 'Reserve a Table' hero. The giveaway that it's a template is the dedicated Docs page sitting right in the main navigation, next to Sign In and Sign Up.
That matters because most restaurant 'templates' are static marketing pages with no way to actually take a booking. A restaurant owner still needs a developer to bolt on the functional parts. This one ships with the account and reservation system already wired in, so the visual identity and the underlying functionality can be swapped independently for a new restaurant brand.
The 'Why Choose Us' feature grid and the signature-dishes callout are built as reusable card components. The whole thing sits on a distinctly different visual language, soft, editorial, light-mode, from the rest of my dark-neon portfolio. That was partly the point: to prove the design system isn't a one-trick aesthetic.
The problem
Most restaurant website templates are static marketing pages with no way to actually take a reservation or manage an account. A restaurant owner still needs a developer to bolt on the functional parts before the site does anything beyond look good.
The approach
A Next.js template pairing restaurant-grade visual design with the functional scaffolding restaurants actually need: menu browsing, table reservations, and authenticated accounts. A documentation page lets it be reconfigured for a new restaurant brand without starting from scratch.
